Josemaria Escriv\u00e1, founder of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/opusdei.org\/en-uk\/\">Opus Dei<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c1lamos\u2019s Christian identity is reflected in its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alamoslisboa.org\/activities\/catholic-activities\/\">Catholic formation activities<\/a>, entrusted to Opus Dei. These activities are open to all girls interested in deepening their Christian life, clarifying their doubts or getting to know the Catholic faith better.<\/p>\n<p>This inspiration is also present in its diverse activities, environment and in daily life at Alamos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the importance given to the study and work, done with responsibility and competence.<\/li>\n<li>In the promotion of solidarity and an informed and active citizenship.<\/li>\n<li>In an environment characterized by the friendship, mutual assistance, confidence, joy, and respect for the freedom and individuality of one another<\/li>\n<li>In the traditional practices of the Christian life that are regularly lived in the residence and that are open to everyone who wants to participate: Rosary, Mass, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Through our Oratory and a Chaplain who comes to \u00c1lamos on a regular basis and is available to assist whoever wants it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-471211 kc-testimo kc-testi-layout-1\">\n\n\t<div class=\"content-desc\">You too can improve the world and leave an imprint that makes a mark on history \u2012 your history and that of many others. The Church and society need you. University people should be responsible citizens with a healthy concern for the problems of other people and a generous spirit which brings them to face these problems and to resolve them in the best possible way. If a Christian in these days looks away from the need of the poorest of the poor, then in reality he is not a Christian! Nothing else will change the world but people who with Jesus devote themselves to it, who with Him go to the margins and right into the middle of the dirt. Go into politics, too, and fight for justice and human dignity, especially for the poorest of the poor. All of you are the Church.
